Floofies

The Fantastical Floating Island of Floo travels miles above the Earth's surface disguised as a fluffy cloud. Though the culture and terrain of Floo have not been explored yet by humans, many of its secrets can now be revealed. Its inhabitants, the Floofies®, spring from a magical spot on the island known as the "Well of Imagination." These creatures come in many shapes and colors and are friendly, cuddly and just a bit odd.

A few of the little Floofies are interested in spending time with a human family. Each of the Floofies who is up for adoption has talents and personality quirks that can only be described as individual and unique. These one-of-a-kind, handmade creatures are looking to spread some of the magic and joy of Floo to your home!

The Story of Your Floofie

How Floofies Got Started

The idea for Floofies® came out of a doodling session by a group of eleven year old girlfriends during math class one day in 2010. Inspired by the amusing shape, one of the girls, named Carmen, decided to sculpt a three dimensional toy based on the doodles using fabric, thread and stuffing from her mother's sewing closet. And thus the first Floofie was born.

The little guy was so weirdly cute, Carmen started crafting more Floofies for her family and friends, each with a different shape and expressive face. When she showed her family what she was up to, they joined in the fun and made some Floofies for their own friends.

Carmen's fertile mind soon created a whole society of Floofie shapes - one for every letter in the alphabet. (The lucky letter "G" ended up with two Floofies, because the ideas were both so good!) These 27 "Clans" needed a home as remarkable and kooky as they were, and so Carmen imagined the Fantastical Floating Island of Floo with a special spot for each clan's headquarters.

Now, as a Floofie is created, Carmen writes a story about the qualities and personality quirks that make that Floofie unique and charming. She includes amusing details about the Floofie's clan and their role on Floo. These tales help bring life to quirky, handmade fleece creatures and the magical floating island they call home.
